Why Patients Choose To Partner With Hearing & Balance Doctors
“Since making the decision to step into better hearing, the biggest impact has been to those around me”
I was about 42 years old when I experienced my first hearing challenge. I was concerned because I felt I was too young for hearing aids. I didn’t want to deal with the stigma of wearing them and I didn’t want to let others know I was wearing them, so even after meeting with Dr. Nelson, and knowing I needed them, I avoided it for about five more years. I liked that Dr. Nelson was considerate, informative and willing to listen to concerns and provide me with solutions to help address those concerns. He really listened to me. Since making the decision to step into better hearing, the biggest impact has been to those around me. My family and co-workers noticed immediately. I didn’t need to tell them I got them. They noticed I spoke quieter and it was a good thing. I notice most when in social settings like going out to dinner with friends, etc. I can be more of a participant in the conversation because I can hear it. My advice to anybody that had the same concerns as I did and are considering visiting Hearing & Balance Doctors is Go and give it a try! Be willing to talk about your concerns and allow the doctors to find solutions. It is their desire to help you! I would rate my experience as 10 out of 10.

“It’s life-changing and it opens the world back up”
The moment I first realized that I was struggling to hear was when I was not able to hear my spouse. Upon visiting Hearing & Balance Doctors, I found them super friendly and knowledgeable, instantly making me feel comfortable. The difference to my life now that I can hear is “night and day” – I can hear my partner and the television now. My advice to you if you have a hearing challenge would be to definitely see an expert to get tested and get devices if necessary. It’s life-changing and it opens the world back up. I would rate my experience as 10 out of 10.
