Our Recent Educational Training

by | Feb 6, 2016 | News, Patient Resources

Three of our doctors were recently able to attend an educational training event in New York City. At Hearing & Balance Doctors, we are committed to staying current on the latest technology and advances in our field.

There are literally thousands of hearing aids on the market, and it is very difficult for our patients to determine on their own which hearing aid would best meet their needs. Because of this, our doctors are constantly evaluating and testing new technology.

This most recent training event helped our doctors learn more about a few devices we have been evaluating in our clinic for some time.

The one they were most impressed with is a great example of a “smart” hearing aid with some neat features:

  • Bluetooth capability
  • Smartphone compatibility
  • Water resistance
  • State-of-the-art feedback reduction
  • Small size and smooth sound quality

It is exciting to see the way this technology is already affecting the lives of our patients right here in Southern Utah.

Patient-focused Experience

At this training, it was also emphasized to our doctors the importance of the patient experience. We whole-heartedly agree that our patients deserve to be treated with the utmost respect. We strive to make our patients feel welcome, comfortable, and safe.

We want to take care of our patients’ hearing needs in the long term. In order to succeed with hearing aids, we feel our patients are entitled to an accurate diagnosis, an appropriate treatment plan (including the collaborative selection of appropriate hearing aids), and excellent long-term care.

Utah and Nevada’s Most Trusted and Experienced Doctors

Our doctors and staff always strive to meet our patients’ needs in all of these areas, and our recent training helped us to fine tune our existing protocols.

If you are not satisfied with your current hearing aids or feel like you could benefit from hearing aids, please call our office at (435) 688-8991 to schedule an appointment.

Do you know somebody that needs to see this? Why not share it?
