Back in November, we launched our competition, Hear for the Holidays. It gave local people the opportunity to win a free pair of hearing aids, as well as access to our expert ongoing audiological care.
There’s no catch – we just want to change someone’s life for the better and help as many people as possible in Utah and Nevada.
With the holiday season typically a time for enjoyment, for those with a hearing loss, it often presents feelings of stress and isolation.
Hear for the Holidays is one way we hope to give back to the community that serves us and change someone’s life for the better. As audiologists, we feel grateful to be in this position of giving.
To enter, all you had to do was nominate someone special by filling out a form on our website, explaining why you think they deserve to win.
Deciding the winner was extremely tough, as we received so many heartfelt stories. But after much speculation, we came to a conclusion and we can’t wait to share their story.
So, without further ado, the winners of our 2022 Hear for the Holidays giveaway are… Juanita and Sue Ray!
Winner, Juanita:
Nominated by her husband, Francisco, he wrote in explaining just how much his wife means to him. With hearing loss a major setback in her life, he wanted to change her life for the better and allow her to experience all the wonderful sounds of life.
When it came to the reveal, Juanita was lost for words and had no idea that her husband had nominated her.
Juanita received a custom mold of her premium hearing devices and was offered ongoing complimentary care just in time for the holidays.
Winner, Sue Ray:
Sue was nominated by her sister, who is a current partner of Hearing and Balance Doctors.
We turned up to her door, surprising her with the award, and it’s safe to say it was an emotional moment for all. Sue was invited into the clinic for a comprehensive fitting of her brand-new hearing aids, free of charge.
Providing two local people with a gift of a lifetime was truly special, but witnessing the look on their faces when it came to the reveal is something I will treasure forever.
We feel so grateful to be in this position of giving and would like to wholeheartedly say thank you to everyone who took part.
It’s all thanks to you that we can continue helping others.
