What Can Blue Cross Blue Shield Do for You?

Insurance can help immensely offset the costs associated with any kind of healthcare. Many plans are available to you that deal with overall health; if you want one that involves hearing care, you may have to look a little harder.

The cost of hearing aids should not be a factor when deciding whether or not to get help, but we realize this is the case with many people here in Utah and Nevada.

We have in-house specialists dedicated to knowing each insurance program’s ins and outs. This ensures you get everything that is owed to you, and you get your money’s worth.

We have many years of experience dealing with a variety of companies. Part of helping you with your hearing is knowing how to deal with the bureaucracy of insurance policies.

Blue Cross Blue Shield is one of the largest and most popular companies. I wish there were an easier way to explain all the details, but I’ve done my best to break it all down here in this article.

BCBS offers a variety of coverage, and here we will cover the most asked-about programs.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans

Here are the most popular plans being offered right now.

BlueCare Plus or BlueEssential

These two programs can be tailor-made to your needs and are pretty flexible for the price. However, the BlueEssential plan doesn’t cover benefits for hearing aids initially. If you have a mild hearing loss, then this may be an option to take care of your appointments and other hearing care expenses.

Both offer you the choice of doctors, specialists, and facilities within their selected network. While this may sound restrictive, the options are plentiful, and specialists are carefully screened to ensure top-quality care and assistance.

Blue Advantage

Many prefer this package based on price because it still offers flexibility when choosing your professionals. You can select a specialist outside the BCBS network but only in particular instances. We can assist you with determining whether or not this applies to you.

This program does have options for hearing aid devices but with a few more restrictions than the more expensive Blue Elite plan. Depending on your needs, you may benefit from this, or it may be too much for your needs. We can help you sort through the fine print.

Blue Elite

Welcome to the cream of the crop package offered by BCBS. This allows the most freedom throughout the decision-making process.

There are no restrictions on which specialist you can see. You can come to see us anytime you have an issue knowing that you’re taken care of.

In addition, if you need hearing aids, there’s an add-on option that lets you choose the best device for your specific problem. This is a huge advantage to anyone who has a severe hearing loss. You’re free to select the most optimal hearing aid solution and have BCBS take care of it for you.
